Ok so at the end of June our family moved to a small city called Meadow lake SK. This is our new adventure. Being as I lived in Saskatoon for most of my life and my children have never lived anywhere else, this is all new to us. My husband has lived in quite a few places.

It is now three weeks we have been here and I have to say I love it! The air is fresher there are forests and lake all around. We are farther north so at 4 AM there is light from the north almost like the sun is rising from the north instead of the east. In the fall and spring the northern lights are so bright and colorful!

Only a few incidents have happened. First of all is when we started our move one of our cats disappeared and we had to leave without him. This was heart wrenching! But thankfully a week later my old neighbor found him and we got him back. All of our cats have changed they are happier, more lovable and very playful. My cat who was very aloof is now always by my side wanting loves and cuddles.

The next thing that happened was my van was left unlocked and the only thing missing was my ashtray! LMAO not the CD in my glove box or the change in my holder but my ashtray, This was too funny!

It's more peaceful, less stressful and safer here.

Our new adventure came with the new job my husband has. He is a distributor for a snack company and he delivers mostly 3-4 hours north. This position has given me the opportunity to be a stay at home mom, I went on a delivery with him and the landscape is breath taking. Unfortunately I wont be able to go with him again for a few months as I have a torn ligament in my shoulder and am having surgery on Aug. 9th, which also happens to be our wedding anniversary.

But I at least I was able to see Buffalo Narrows in the day light and the lake is gorgeous. I went there one time with my mother to delivers some supplies to her husband for a job he was doing up there that's when I saw the northern lights, but we were only there for an hour in the middle of the night and went back to Saskatoon.

If you want to see beautiful landscapes and gorgeous lakes I recommend going up north.
